Who are these semi handsome dudes? They are the band Stone Bogart. Yes, that is me in the ugly jacket. I am sorry about that.
Matt Sorum & I backstage at a Camp Freddy show. Meeting Matt was very cool! He was in two of my favorite bands ever... "Guns n' Roses" and "The Cult". He now plays for another incredible band, "Velvet Revolver". Matt told me how he makes his BBQ'd Zucchini...I hope to cook with him soon!
Tom Morello from Audioslave...the king of rock! I absolutely love his guitar playing. When I was in my old band I used to watch RATM concert videos and dream of seeing that kind of success in my own musical life. The guy can ROCK an arena!
Here is me with Chris from Camp Freddy, Janes Addiction, and Alanis' old band. This guy is a great bass player and it was cool meeting him. Chris currently plays in Panic Channel w/ Stephen Perkins, Dave Navarro, and Steve Isaacs ...That's A GREAT band! Bassist never seem to get the credit they deserve...so I'm giving it to him "CHRIS...you ROCK!" Why isn't he smiling? :)
Here I am with Eric from NOFX. I'm drinking Pabst Blue Ribbon and he has blue hair. That was about all we had in common. A pleasure to have a drink with him for sure. I have been a fan for over 10 years.
This guy's name is Jon. He is a friend of mine. Back in high school he was in "the cool band". I was always jealous of this guy. My band mainly played in my friend's basement
This is me and my bro hanging out with my Grandpa. He is responsible for my love of country music. My grandpa can wrestle down a steer...what can you do? Nothing near that? Settle down sissy! He taught me to fish and hunt and also gave me a strong respect for nature.
Mike Dirnt from Green Day & I. I learned a lot of his parts from their first record when I was learning to play bass. He is a great bass player and a nice guy. Is he dumping beer on my shoe? It was my "too-many-ith" beer so I didn't notice.
Here is me "near" Jason Newsted... formerly of Metallica....
Here is me gettin' creepier and closer to Jason. I didn't actually talk to him, but I did intend to mention that he kicks ass!
Um...is that CC Deville? YES IT IS! Be jealous! He was my favorite character of the 80's. He had a band a few years ago called "Samantha Seven" and they were incredible. You think you know CC...but you have no idea! He is PURE ROCK! You may remember him from a little band called...POISON!
Looky who is rockin' the BASS...why it's me. I am wearing leather pants in this picture... again, I apologize. Seriously though...Stone Bogart was a cool band. The cabinet behind me is my Ampeg V-9, it is one of my most prized possessions along with my MUCH loved Fender Precision Lite that I am playing in the photo. FOR BASS PLAYERS: It's cheap, has a Jazz neck, thin P-Bass body, and both Jazz and P-bass pick-ups (active)... and they don't make them anymore. If you have one, please surrender it to me.
Me and Billy Sheehan! He played in David Lee Roth's band on the EAT EM' & SMILE TOUR. That tour inspired me to start playing music and dreaming of being a rockstar. Thank you Billy...thank you!
People say, "Is it fun to hang with the Rock & Roll Chef?" Look at this...and know, YES IT IS FUN! Notice my "Atomic Records" shirt? The best record store in the country and it's in Milwaukee Wisconsin.
Matthew Sweet and I at NAMM 2004. If we were in a band together...we would look cool. We have that similiar kinda "over it" look. He is a great songwriter!
Minutes later...I was "near" Paul Stanley ! I was gonna tell him that KISS is great...then I remembered that I don't feel that way. I like KISS a little more than CREED and that ain't too much. Weird huh? Everyone loves KISS, but not me.
Yep...Ron Jeremy! We were taking about the great food at this party...then a weird porn chick came by and he lost his concentration. My time with him was fun, he is a legend for god's sake!
This was taken backstage with Greg Behrendt and Norm MacDonald. Greg took the pic...so he can't be seen. Norm was super cool. I love Old Navy too! I told him my idea for my stand-up routine I wanted to try...he said if I did it he wanted to see it cus' the crowd was gonna HATE ME! I never did it...I am a wuss.
Vernon Reid of Living Colour and I! I loved those guys...and come to find out...they are still rockin'!
That can't be...yes it is! It is Pam Anderson and a (much much) younger Rock & Roll Chef. She was super dooper nice...but look, she is wearing a "No Fur" pin! Would she eat ribs with me? NO?!? Then forget it...I'm so OVER her. She was very sweet and it made my 20's to hang with her ONCE.
Here is me at Whiskey Beach. Whiskey Beach is a part of my parents property...You gotta love it! Even my parents have the Rock & Roll spirit. My dad showed me The Doors and The Who as a kid. I am forver thankful to him for that. He is also the man who taught me to light a grill and tap a keg...GOD LOVE HIM!
Barker Hanging out with Travis Barker at Rob Dyrdek's Fantasy Factory.
buubles Hangin' with Bubbles from Trailer Park Boys backstage at the Jimmy Kimmel Live Show
bland Myself and two awesome drummers. Michael Bland [Prince, Paul Westerberg, Soul Asylum], and good old Derby Doo [Stone Bogart, Loreta, and Truckers On Speed]. This was backstage at a Soul Asylum show.
dj Fantasy Factory with DJ Ashba from Gun N' Roses.
bfs With Bowling for Soup. Seriously...they are one of the greatest pop rock bands of all time. I love them. Also...and just as important...awesome dudes!
jump It's me...jumping for joy.
